Frequently asked questions

Some answers depend on the product and market. Share your brief so Homichi can confirm what applies to your project.

How does ODM differ from OEM?

In ODM, the manufacturer may help develop the design from a brief. In OEM, the customer typically provides the design or technical requirements for manufacturing. The actual scope is agreed per project.

What does Homichi need to review an inquiry?

Category, product goals, market, preferred model, expected volume, timing, and available technical documents are a useful starting point.

Can MOQ and lead time be confirmed immediately?

They usually require review of configuration, customization, materials, testing, and supply schedule. Homichi confirms them once there is enough information to assess.

Can I send confidential drawings or documents?

Please identify confidential material when making an inquiry. The parties should agree on suitable safeguards and terms before sharing sensitive documents.

Which market standards can a product meet?

The destination market, product type, and mandatory standards need to be identified. A certification should not be assumed to cover every configuration.

How do we get started?

Send an inquiry with the information available. Homichi will discuss any gaps and guide the next step.
